Berkey: don't fear the new acronym! I've always seen BSM as operating at a higher level - how does IT impact the business and how does business impact IT. I seem BDIM as getting down in the trenches and for one specific business, trying to map the two disciplines together. With all that being said, this IS an opportunity to throw another acronym out there and see if it sticks!

BDIM? Sounds a lot like Business Service Management, BSM? Is it sufficiently different than BSM to warrant a new management discipline?
Are you sure you want to introduce yet another acronym?
