Well now that's the big question right? Hurd has made some fantastic economic results at HP; however, has he achieved short-term success at the expense of long-term success? Ultimately time is going to answer this question. HP's purchase of EDS is going to delay the final outcome for awhile; however, as the economy recovers the answer will start to become clear very quickly. I'm sure that this is the type of thing that you can bet on SOMEWHERE out in Vegas...!

The execs that report directly to Mark Hurd are the ONLY HP employees that now respect Mark Hurd. HP is a company making profit out of the exploitation of its workers, whilst paying its top execs an obscene amount of money. The acclaimed HP labs are being cut into the bone and the only reason HP is making money at the moment is because of the profitability of EDS; the profitability of EDS will not last as Mark it hacking away the EDS culture.

Wake up and smell the coffee, a CEO who disrespects his employees is doomed to fail.
